Clara Ruth  Barrett (Neukirchner)
Clara Ruth Neukirchner Barrett passed away on August 30, 2017, in Yuba City, CA. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 23, 1933, to Jess L. and Dora R. Neukirchner.
Clara served in the Armed Forces where she met and married Oakley Barrett who was also in the Army at that time. They were married 57 years. She lived in Yuba County for over 63 years.
Clara worked at Harter's Cannery for over 15 years. She retired in 1989 to help raise her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Oakley Barrett.
She is survived by her daughter: Fayra Staas (husband, Tom) of Marysville. Sons: Charles Barrett of Sutter, William Barrett of Olivehurst, Steven Barrett (wife, Gayle) of Arboga. Grandchildren: Brian Barrett of Yuba City, Christopher Barrett of Yuba City, Garrett McAdams (wife, Heather) of Marysville, Donovan McAdams of Marysville, Natalie Staas of Marysville, Annabelle Barrett of Marysville. Step-grandchildren: Emily Staas of Marysville, Ryan Staas of Marysville. Great grandchild: Caden Barrett of Yuba City with a second Great grandchild due in January.
Clara loved her family more than I can describe, and she was loved dearly by family and friends.
She also loved the SF 49ers, the color red, roses, and her dogs.
Friends and family are invited to attend the services to be held at Sierra View Mortuary, 4900 Olive Ave, in Olivehurst, CA, Thursday, September 14, at 1pm, with committal to follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. A potluck style reception will follow at the residence of Fayra and Tom Staas.
