Carolyn Anne Patchin, 75, of Olivehurst, CA passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Rideout Memorial Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was born on August 25, 1940, in Las Vegas, NV to Ernest and Opal Pack. She is survived by her husband, George Freeman Patchin. They were married in Blythe, CA and had been married for 58 years. Together they had 4 children, Zoe Beaton of Browns Valley, Paul Patchin of Yuba City, Andrea Sutch who passed away July 26, 2008, and Ernest Patchin of Olivehurst. She had 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and would have been blessed with 2 additional great-grandchildren this summer. In addition, she had two younger brothers Richard Pack of Arizona and John Estep of Oregon.
She worked at Blue Shield, in Marysville, as a Medical Claims Processor for 14 years. She retired in 1997 to spend time with her family and to enjoy her grandchildren.
Her passions included spending time with her family, camping, decorating birthday cakes, gardening, decorating the yard for holidays and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, she had a passion for all animals, big or small.
Carolyn was a very outgoing and generous person. She enjoyed playing "Gardens of Time" and chatting with her garden friends from all over the world. She will be tremendously missed by all.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1997 N. Beale Road, in Linda. Committal will follow at Sierra View Memorial Park. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
